Durham Thank You

Joan Nielsen is at the heartbeat of the company. She is one of the friendly voices at the end of the telephone or the cheerful response to an email request. Her demeanor is always upbeat, helpful, and responsive. Customers know that when Joan is handling their account, they will be well taken care of and supported, no matter what it is.

Recently Joan has been managing all of the customer requests for the i-rock program. If there has been a defective tool, or a shipment missing something, Joan helps to reassure the customer, and replace anything that may have been damaged. Customers love the special attention to their questions and concerns.

Joan, we are so glad you're part of our team! You're certainly deserving of a Durham Thank You!

Durham Thank You

Alex Fuller has a great attitude! He's optimistic and helpful and works hard to meet deadlines. When Alex has a project and needs assistance from the designers or other employees, he makes a great handoff. He is clear about what he needs done and what the deadlines are. He is also mindful of giving people plenty of time/heads up. His clear communication style is something we all appreciate!
Stace Hasegawa has recently taken on some very complicated design projects. Even under a tight time frame she makes sure to deliver thoughtful and detailed art. She is always smiling and happy to be in the office, even when there is a lot of pressure on her. Plus she always remembers to bring in some delicious treats to share with everyone in the office!

Alex and Stace, we're sure glad you're part of our team! Thank you for making Durham a great place to work!

Durham Thank You!

Debbie Johnson, Joan Nielsen, and Bryce Stevens:

Thank YOU so much for helping us to get the portable A/C in the design room. Room temperature is down. Spirits are up. Computers are running. And work is getting done (much faster too!). :)

Thanks again for all of your individual efforts to get the design room cooler.

Spirit of Durham Award Winner

Congratulations Lori Allred!!! :) Lori is the Spirit of Durham Award winner for this quarter.

Lori has been a hard worker since day one. She works around the clock, even on weekends. She's known to answer emails late into the night/early morning, just to make sure deadlines are met.

Not only is she a marketing genius, and the creator of the social media for both the Imaginisce and Gimme Clips brands, but she is a talented artist too. It is amazing to look at all of Lori's great product ideas, projects, and creative blog posts.

Lori is also extremely detail oriented on every project she oversees. If she's working on a project, the results of the project are always more successful and improved because of her involvement and input.

Lori also is one of the most connected people in the company and has so many friends with other companies, designers, and influencers in the craft industry. You can see this, by all of the "free stuff" that comes to our offices for give-aways or marketing events.

Lori, we appreciate all of the hard work you do and all of the late nights and early mornings you have put in! She is truly deserving of the Spirit of Durham award.

Durham Thank You

We want to thank our AMAZING warehouse team for all of their hard work, dedication and unity!!!

During the month of June, the warehouse crew helped out with the rework and packaging of product as well as shipping hard and heavy through the final minutes of the final day of the month! The team came in early. They left late. And we could not have had the tremendous June without them pushing hard to reach our revenue goals.

Marc Monson praised the team saying, "I spent several hours out there with them and they were really performing at an impressive level: teamwork, cooperation, patience, hard work, speed, accuracy, and dependability."

To Kenny, Gladys, Matt, Gabe, Kristen, Shelly, and to all of their extra helpers who came in, THANK YOU!!!

PS We would be posting a picture of them as a team, but they're busy helping out with the inventory count.
