Spirit of Durham Award- Kenny Scribner
Kenny Scribner is a humble, hard working, and dedicated employee. And as head of the warehouse, he plays an essential role at the heart of the Durham operation. Kenny goes about his job quietly always looking for ways to improve his department and to be more efficient.
Kenny does some of his best work after hours, in the evening after everyone has gone home or even on weekends. During this time he is rearranging the warehouse, moving boxes, and organizing so that there is better flow. When the rest of the office comes in the next day, they are greeted by a gleaming, redesigned warehouse!
Kenny doesn't just have one warehouse to worry about, he manages two! And with that management comes the responsibility to communicate and work with the Customer Service/Sales/Supply Chain departments who are all trying to ensure that orders are shipped both timely and accurately.
After all of the work has been done to create great products that are then designed, manufactured, packaged, sold and then processed as an order, the most important thing is getting the product to the customer. Kenny makes sure that all of the details, of pulling the product, boxing, packing and shipping happen correctly, all of the time. It is a big job.
We are so grateful to have Kenny as part of our Imaginisce family. :) His teamwork, dependability, and great attitude make him a deserving recipient this month.

DTY- Becky Stuhff
Becky Stuhff spent HOURS and HOURS assessing the mass of digital files associated with Gimme Clips in order to create a streamlined filing system and standards! She took on a tedious, but essential task that will help improve the efficiency of the entire company. It was the perfect digital 5s project. :) Thank you Becky! We appreciate you!
For those of you interested, Becky will also be showcasing her talented art pieces in a showcase held this Saturday (December 5) from 4:30- 7:00 pm at the UVU library.

Spirit of Durham Award- Joan Nielsen
Joan Nielsen (aka The Queen Bee) is very deserving of the Spirit of Durham award. Joan has worked at Durham Enterprises longer than anyone, save Mark Durham. She is easily the most consistent person in the office. Which also means that she is the most dependable. Joan will always get anything asked of her done, and any special requests will usually be put ahead of her own priorities.
Joan is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that the company is taken care of. A few summers ago when the entire company was at a tradeshow and the warehouse was in dire need of help, she singlehandedly (almost) unloaded an entire container of product with a pallet jack. A feat that hasn’t been accomplished by the most skilled of warehouse staff. It wasn’t easy, and the circumstances were less than favorable, but Joan knew that it had to be done to keep things running. That is one of many examples showing Joan’s willingness to do anything.
If you ever need anything proofed, Joan is the ultimate proofer. She is the best in the building, and from the rumors I have heard, the best ever…west of Bangerter Highway. Joan will find mistakes, important details that have been left out,…anything. She is good. It probably stems from her ability to keep all of Customer Service, Order Entry, Invoicing, Customer Request, etc, etc, etc….straight. She is easily one of the most organized minds in the office, and it shows.
Joan is the face of our company. When a customer or partner walks through the door, or calls on the phone, Joan is the first person to greet them. We are so fortunate to have such a caring, capable person taking care of our customers. She is always asked for at our tradeshows…clearly leaving a positive impression on those that work with her. More importantly however, Joan is an important reason why our Durham Family is happy. Birthdays are never forgotten because of Joan. Holidays never pass without celebration because of Joan. And Staff Meetings would reflect poor attendance without Joan. :)
Thank you for all that you do to make this a great place to work Joan!
