Spirit of Durham Award Winner

Debbie Johnson is the Spirit of Durham award winner for the quarter. :) Congratulations Debbie!

Debbie is a great example of the Durham attributes of positive attitude, team work and dependability. And she has been a good example of these things for the five years she has worked at Durham.

Debbie works with almost every department and people trust and respect her because she is so willing to help. She is quick to problem solve and teach others how to do things. She can take a complicated problem and find an answer. Debbie is always trying to do things better than before and finds solutions to get better results.

Debbie also puts in many extra hours away from the office is willing to take phone calls on her days off. She wears many hats such as IT, EDI, HR and most importantly, accounting. :)

Congratulations Debbie! We're so glad you are part of our team!!!

Winter CHA 2011- Los Angeles

We had a wonderful CHA show and want to thank everyone for making the event happen!!! From sales, product development, warehouse, supply chain, design, and customer service, the long hours you put in to prepare for the show, resulted in a beautiful booth layout and in some great sales.

Durham Thank You

If you've noticed how clean and uncluttered the fridge is today, it's because of Renee. :) On Friday, she spent some time cleaning and throwing out old food. Thank you Renee!!! We know you didn't have to clean up, especially since it wasn't your mess. :)

Durham family members, please help do your part to keep the fridge clean by regularly throwing away your old food.

Joan also does an amazing job keeping our break room organized, clean and well stocked. There are many times Joan will clean up messes in the microwave or toaster or things left on the tables. She's often cleaned out the refrigerator too. Joan does this quietly without anyone knowing about it. Thank you Joan!

Have you ever noticed that on snowy days, our walkway into the office is nice and snow-free? Many times Kenny will come in early to shovel and salt the walkways for us. We really appreciate the extra effort it takes to help us walk safely to our building. Thanks Kenny!

We are honored to be among some of the best companies in the state.This is an award everyone should take credit for! Thank you for all of your hard work and contribution to the high growth and innovation we've experienced. Thank you for the long hours and diligence to push through obstacles. Without your commitment, we wouldn't have suceeeded. You have helped to make a significant difference. Governor Gary Herbert was also there to recognize Durham for this accomplishment.

Spirit of Durham Award Winner

Glady Muralles has been at Durham since August of 2007. And since she has been hired she's made a big difference. :)

Gladys handles most of the shipping and has a great eye for catching errors on any shipping orders or mistakes on labels. She's saved the company thousands of dollars in fines by making sure she prepares shipments in the the specific way that our customers require.

She also has a positive attitude. She is eager and willing to help out and never is too busy to stop and listen. And if she ever asks a question or needs help, she's always quick to show her appreciation.

Gladys is like the Energizer Bunny, she keeps going and going and going. She is always going forward with the vision of teamwork, dependability and a terrific attitude.
